Sun Hands Collective: iPhone Case Design
Sun Hands Co. is a Manila-born brand inspired by surroundings, experiences, and people. Its phone cases have gained recognition both locally and globally, prompting the brand to ship internationally soon after its launch.
The owners tapped me to design a modern-day sun tarot card. The design brief held references to Lisa Sterle’s Modern Witch Tarot Deck, as well as Maria Medem’s nostalgic body of work.
Here’s my take on fusing the two, and incorporating personal inspiration from my trip to New Zealand last August 2022.

Lucky
Lucky Hard Seltzers is a Manila-based concept founded with a mission of drawing Filipinos towards locally-sourced and produced alcohol.
For this, I was tapped to create can designs for their new flavors, Peach Lime and Passionfruit Mango. My love for fruits (and, of course, hard seltzers) was what made this entire project land right in my league.
The owners essentially wanted cans looking fresh, fun, and tropical. They needed non-static designs, and colors that invite people to grab the can, take a sip, and get lucky.
The illustrations incorporated simple gradient fills and textures in order to elevate the fruits. Both cans have “star” fruits on the center, which are higher on the saturation scale.
